Cobs Bread Scone Campaign - Now till May 13th

Each spring following Easter, Cobs Bread and Big Brothers Big Sisters host a joint Scone Campaign. This year the featured scone is Strawberries and Cream. On May 12th and 13th 50 cents from every scone sold will be donated to us!

2012 Community Shred-it Day - April 21st
Community residents were invited to bring their personal documents to have them safely and securely shredded while helping to raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton. Shred-it was on-site at Boston Pizza Parking Lot - Dorval Drive Oakville. Thanks Shred-it!!
Night of the Little Black Dress - April 18, 2012
5:00 pm - A great girls night out for pre-screening cocktail party sponsored by Milestones Grill & Bar followed by a screening of the movie classic "Breakfast at Tiffanys" Thanks to our volunteer organizer Joan Mizzi-Fry.
2012 Rotary Beach Party Dinner & Dance - March 31st , 2012
On March 31st the weather was still frightful in Ontario, but inside it was quite delightful. Imagine the beach brought indoors! Everyone donned their favourite beach gear and joined in for loads of fun, lots of surprises, good food and a great cause: 50% of net funds raised at this event will go to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton’s Homework Program in Milton.

Kinettes Elimination Draw and Dance
Special thanks to the Kinettes organization for including us as partial beneficiaries of some of the proceeds from the Elimination Draw & Dance held on March 3rd at the Operating Engineers Club in Oakville.
Southside Cottage Grill - Charity Burger Challenge
234 Lakeshore Rd East, downtown Oakville
March 13th was "Burger Day in Oakville". From open till close Southside Cottage Grill featured the charity menu items and burgers only. A $5 donation for each sale went to various Oakville charities.
Online Auction
Special thanks to all donors, purchasers and sponsors of our annual Online Auction. Together, we raise over $7,500 towards children's mentoring programs and services.
Addition-Elle Gift Wrap
Thanks to Addition Elle (Burloak and QEW in Oakville) for hosting our volunteers on Saturday, Dec 10 and Dec 17th at our gift wrap for kids sake. Young girls were mentored to gift wrap, learn good customer service skills and gain more volunteer hours.
Instant Imprints - The UPS store Fundraiser
During the month of November - it was Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton month at Instant Imprints and The UPS Store at 165 Cross Ave in Oakville! Thanks for the give aways, prizes, silent auction and 10% of total sales for the month.
Milton Shoeless Joe's Fundraiser

Shoeless Joe's held a fundraising event for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton recently. The night featured great food, awesome auction items and very cool raffle prizes up for grabs! Big Brothers Big Sisters is a charitable organization dedicated to meeting the emotional, physical and social needs of girls and boys in our community. It is a non-profit, registered charity. There is no fee to the Little Brother/Sisters or their family for the Big Brothers Big Sister service. The organization has been creating friendships since 1969, and fundraising events such as this ensures the programs continue to be offered to help both boys and girls when they need it most. 2011 Philthy McNasty Ride for Kids Sake

Congratulations to Philthy McNasty of Oakville for hosting the Ride for Kids Sake event on Saturday, October 8th. this year, over 50 people enjoyed a fabulous breakfast and 24 motorcycles took to the road - all in an effort to raise awareness and financial support for kid's prgramming and services offered by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton. Special thanks to our Sponsor, Motorcycle Enhancements and Philthy McNasty's who will be repeating the Annual Ride for Kids Sake for the next 3 years!!!
2011 Community Shred-it Day -
Congratulations to Community Shred-it for Kids Sake. Community residents shredded their personal documents safely and securely and helped raise $1800 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton. Watch for our repeat event in Spring 2012 .
2011 Dragon Boat Challenge -
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton salutes Oakville Yacht Squadron, the Burloak Canoe Club, The Oakville Club, the Bronte Harbour yacht Club and the Oakville Power Boat Club for their tremendous support in organizing the fifth annual dragonboat race in support of children’s programming. This year we added another team sponsored by Cameron’s Brewery headed up by ward 2 Town Councillor Pam Damoff! The weather held out for a beautiful day at Bronte Harbour. T-Shirts were sold, a scrumptious BBQ was welcome by all after rowing two competitive heats with the trophy going to the winning team. $5000 was raised to support our charitable efforts and the kids thank you!

Marble Slab Creamery - Congratulations! The 2011 Cones for Kids event successfully raised more than $36,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters across Canada.
3rd Environmental Day - $1000 raised for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton. Congratulations to our kids for completing 30 hours of community clean up!
